However, for the best possible product, specific materials need to be used as each are suited to different purposes. Here is a breakdown of the materials that are used for each product.

In order to produce the most accurate splints and retainers possible it is imperative to use a biocompatible material called E-Guard. E-Guard is a clear material which allows for maximum visibility. By using this, manufacturers can produce cost-effective, intricately detailed, high-quality splints and retainers that match client specifications.

Manufacturers also use a material called E-Denture 3D+ to create the highest quality custom-fit Dentures. This is a biocompatible Class IIa material that is approved by the FDA and allows for a clean, natural-looking fit.

A biocompatible Class IIa and FDA-approved solution called E-Dent 400 MFH is used to print accurate, detailed crowns and bridges. This is used as it does not induce any erythema or edema reactions and does not cause systemic toxicity. It is not a sensitizer, it is non-cytotoxic, and is also non-mutagenic.

When producing cast crowns and bridges it is paramount to use the correct material. That correct material is called E-Partial. E-Partial allows for the production of a hard retention grid and incredibly tight thin clasps to deliver a metal partial modelled to custom specifications. This is widely considered as the most efficient way of delivering superior quality cast crowns and bridges.

When producing surgical drill guides, the most appropriate material to use is E-Guide Tint. This is a biocompatible certified Class I material that, when combined with EnvisionTec printers, produces immediately visible, high-quality results. Not only is this a cost-effective method over traditional 3D printing processes, but using E-Guide Tint means that drill sleeves can be inserted directly after printing.

E-Guide

The production of indirect bonding trays can be a tricky process, and selecting the right material is crucial. That is why it is important to use E-IDB. This is a biocompatible Class I material used for precision placement and release of orthodontic brackets. Using E-IDB is also time-saving as the orthodontist can insert all of the necessary brackets at once.

How does it work? A custom tray is designed for the patient and the optimal placement of the brackets are determined by using special software. By using this method, manufacturers can print with higher accuracy and higher quality.

To ensure the production of injection molds that can withstand intense heat and pressure it is necessary to use E-Tool 2.0. Why? E-Tool 2.0 contains Barium Borosilicate Glass, which is known for its heat and chemical resistance. This means a manufacturer can produce injection molds with incredible accuracy and precision.

For the manufacturing of jigs and fixing the most suitable material to use is E-Rigid PU. A hard and stiff material that also maintains good strength, E-Rigid PU comes available in black, natural, and white. E-Rigid PU is a resin similar to polyurethane and known for its strength and versatility.

The process of casting is a complex science that requires a methodical approach and careful consideration. Specific materials must be used along with the right equipment. EnvisionTEC Printers allow for the production of top-quality products. Here are the materials required for each product.

Designed for the purpose of high-speed printing, Easy Cast 2.0 C is a revolutionary 3D printing material that delivers durable products with a slick finish. The material was released in 2017 and has been a go-to material for high-speed printing ever since.

EnvisionTEC’s PIC 100 Series is a highly popular material for the production of casting. PIC100 can deliver a strong product with exquisite detail as it is three times harder than carving wax. PIC100 is EnvisionTEC’s original Plastic Investment Casting (PIC) material and it contains no wax. Also, note that parts printed in PIC100 will burn out clean at moderate temperatures. This means it will leave no ash for clean castings.

Traditionally used for end-use applications that require comfort and durability, E-shore is an engineering-grade material similar to polyurethane. Boasting features such as being waterproof, this material can produce a final product with soft Shore A values of 40 or 80. This can be altered to match the required specifications.

E-rigidform is a resin which can be used to print hard and stiff parts generally used for prototypes and end-use. E-rigidform is known for its high tensile strength (68-73 MPa) and comes available in gray, black, and amber.
